Research Team

Archival research and map making takes time and team work. We have been fortunate enough to have many contributors on this project.

Dr. Krystyn Moon

Krystyn Moon is a Professor of History and American Studies at the University of Mary Washington . As a public historian, she has been researching Northern Virginia for over a decade. Her research includes several in-depth analyses of the history of the African American experience as well as racial covenants found in Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax County. For this project, Moon applies her archival expertise to title company records as well as other historical resources.
